TCD MSA are excited to host a Calligraphy Workshop which will give you the opportunity to learn the skill of writing Arabic calligraphy using a reed pen or “Qalam” as it’s called in Arabic.  Materials will be provided, and this workshop will be run by the famous Dublin based artist Roxana Manouchehri.

 

Inspired by her environment, childhood memories, her hometown and Persian Miniatures, Manouchehri’s works includes paintings, installation, photography, and drawings. She was born in Tehran and studied at the Art University in Tehran graduating with an MA. Manouchehri has been working in Dublin as an artist as well as giving workshops in Dublin’s Chester Beatty Library. Her work has been widely exhibited around the world, including locations such as Seoul, Pori (Finland), Tehran, Dubai, and Dublin.
